Dr. Christopher Petrush and Dr. Monika Elek are a husband-wife duo who have been practicing together for over 25 years. Dr. Petrush grew up in New York and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, while Dr. Elek was born in Hungary and graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Microbiology. Fate brought them together in Dental School at New York University and they both moved to San Francisco in 1994 while Dr. Petrush completed his residency program at UCSF.
Dr. Petrush is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, the highest level of credentialing possible in the field of Implant Dentistry. He also became an Honored Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in 2023 and has lectured globally on the topic of bone grafting. He is a frequent guest speaker for the AAID Las Vegas Maxicourse and is the director of the Chicago AAID Maxicourse where he educates doctors from around the country in all aspects of implant dentistry, ranging from basic implant treatment to more advanced surgical and prosthetic procedures.
Dr. Elek is a General Dentist who has a passion for Invisalign. Although you may find her chairside, she also can be found assisting with the administrative duties of the office. She is a member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners. Her Thursday evenings are dedicated to a study club where she fellowships with other colleagues as they continue to expand their education in advancement of clear aligners technology.
Today, they live in the East Bay where they spend their time at the dog park with their two English Mastiffs (Yogi and Daisy) and working on home improvement projects. You can also find them visiting their two children - their eldest daughter lives in Dallas and their son is finishing his studies at the University of South Carolina before going off to dental school himself.
